3 Training: Assessing and managing disability claims requires a multidimensional set of skills and experience. MGC can support you with the up-skilling of your claims and clinical teams, with various training topics around the use of biopsychosocial strategies to assess new and manage existing claims effectively. Customers expect the best support from insurers, beyond the financial IP benefit, thus ensuring a positive claim journey, is a must, whilst establishing expectations  with the customer from the outset, in line with the IP product definition.  

4 Assessments/Return-to-work support for claimants: Is the medical information you hold on a claim, not answering your questions regarding function in relation to work capacity? MGC’s assessments have a biopsychosocial/ holistic approach to assessing the claimant’s strengths and limitations in relation to their ability to work, providing a clear claims management plan, from a return-to-work perspective. Where appropriate, MGC also can support customers in regaining their work function and returning to work through vocational rehabilitation support, and interactions with the employer and other third-party services involved. Supporting the claimant during the return-to-work transition period, will likely enhance the chances of a successful outcome and minimise the risk of a subsequent sickness absence episode, resulting in a linked or new claim.
